Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania

2008 Round Table Series

THE NINE COMMANDMENTS OF ETHICS:
Exploring the Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators

The Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators were revised and approved by the American Arbitration Association, the American Bar Association’s Section of Dispute Resolution and the Association for Conflict Resolution in 2005. However, many mediators do not understand or are unfamiliar with these standards. In this six-part program, the Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania will review these standards and discuss situations when tricky ethical issues are likely to arise in mediation.
